Frequently

Asked Questions

Can you dump the dirt in the backyard?

We can dump the dirt anywhere you would like as long as we can get access. Please be aware that anytime we drive onto the property, the property owner is liable for any damages. We prefer to dump on the road for simplicity, but we will go where you want us to as long as the truck fits.

How big is the delivery truck?

The truck is 10 feet wide, 14 feet long, and 12 feet tall. Keep in mind since it is so long it can’t take super tight turns. Fully loaded is 30 tons or 60,000 pounds

How far out are you scheduled?

We prefer to have 2-3 days’ notice, but sometimes we deliver the day of if our schedule allows it. Occasionally we get 4 and 5 days out during the high season but talk to us, we will try and squeeze you in somewhere.

How many yards/tons can the truck fit in one load?

Depending on the truck, it is typically 12–15 yards. 15 yards of topsoil is about 12 tons. On gravel, a truck can hold 15 tons, which is about 10 cubic yards. For mulch, we can take about 16 cubic yards per trip.

When is payment due?

Payment is due at the end of the delivery day for dirt delivery. We want to make sure that our customers feel comfortable with the process. Exception to this is if the job is over $1000 we need a 50% deposit.

Sod delivery is different. We do 50% as a deposit and 50% after on all deliveries.

Can we dump on a slope?

We can dump on a slope, but there are some precautions. We can dump with the tail of the truck higher than the cab, but not the other way. We can not dump on a slope when facing perpendicular to the slope. Also, make sure there are no power lines above the dump site. When the truck bed raises, it is 20 feet tall, and hitting power lines is never fun.

What Are Your Delivery Hours?

Delivery is from 7 am – 5 pm. We will notify you as we are loading and heading over to the property. If you are worried about not being home, don’t worry. Leave good notes for the driver. Most people aren’t home when we deliver. You can also send us a picture on where you would like it dumped.

How much is delivery?

Dump trucks in the area run for the standard $130 an hour. We do fixed shipping rates, so you don’t get charged for extra traffic and so forth. Contact for the most accurate pricing.

What payment types do you take?

We take cash, venmo, and cards. Card payments require an additional 3.5%  surcharge.
