How Much Top Soil Do I Need?
Depending on the job, 3–4 inches is the standard. If you have a really rocky yard, 6 inches are recommended. Ballpark way to measure is to have 1 cubic yard per 100 square feet you are wanting to cover when doing sod. This number gets you between 3–4 inches, or use our material calculator.
Pro Tip – Our dump trucks hold upto 15 yards. Closer to a full truck you order, the bigger bang or your buck.

Fill Dirt is our lowest-costing product. If you are looking to level ground or fill a hole, fill dirt has rocks and dirt clods that give better structure to what you are filling. Remember, fill dirt has rocks in it. Not used for sod or gardens.
